WWE Talent-Exchange

Throughout the early 1990's, WWF participated in a variety of talent exchanges with other regional territories in the United States. WWF talent appeared on Smoky Mountain Wrestling, USWA and ECW television shows and talent from those organizations appeared on WWF television. This led to fantastic angles like the oft forgotten "McMemphis" angle, where Vince debuted his heel character in 1993.

The aftermath of the SMW and USWA working relationships led to new talent being used in the WWF to freshen up the product. This was followed up by the agreement with ECW that has been talked about a lot throughout the years.
There is absolutely no reason that WWE shouldn't work with Ring Of Honor or even TNA! The mindset of keeping everything in house for the WWE has made the product stale and predictable, working with other companies would increase match quality and create a stir/surprise that would have potential to drastically increase business. TNA and ROH are nowhere near the level to be considered any sort of a threat to WWE, the only thing that could come of this is success for the wrestling industry as a whole.

It's clear the landscape and popularity for professional wrestling in America has changed much since the end of the Attitude Era. The reason NWO, Stone Cold and The Rock made the industry boom is because it was new, different and innovative at the time, which is truly the key to gaining popularity. Here is a breakdown of the possibilities:

TNA
The draw of top TNA talent working with WWE guys would create a buzz that could significantly elevate the status and perceptions of both companies. Fans of often said there isn't a talent discrepancy between the two, but rather a creative discrepancy, this could be remedied considering the WWE experience that TNA's head office currently has. Much of TNA's talent is instantly recognizable to the WWE fan base so use of Kurt Angle, RVD, Jeff Hardy, Hogan, Bully Ray and Steiner would work. I find it odd that no one in power within either company has seen the potential massive benefit to this occurring.

ROH
For many reasons a working agreement with ROH and WWE seems much more likely than one with TNA. ROH talent has been successful within the WWE, therefore the perception of their talent is likely higher within the power structure of the company. The fact that CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Evan Bourne and MVP have had financial and creative success in the company is a good point in favor of a talent exchange. WWE would also then have a place for under-utilized but massively over talent to work and scout new talent (think William Regal, Jamie Noble, Tyson Kidd). The goal shouldn't be to make ROH another "developmental" organization, but rather it's own entity that just has a business relationship with the fed. The failure of FCW to develop unique and interesting characters is a symptom that may be fixed with an action such as this.

Chikara
This would make no sense and probably shouldn't happen, even though Chikara is the best fed currently in North America.
